Akira's Hollywood Live-action Progress Update
Even though this project is meant to be 'on hold' there has been a report of actor Paul Dano reading for a part in this movie. [Source]
I never did understand why Warner's put the project on hold. Did they think they'd have an easier time with Bleach Who knows.
Paul Dano auditioning doesn't upset me at all. The guy is capable but he's not such a big name that would make this movie a typical moneymaking blockbuster. Anyone unfamiliar should watch There Will Be Blood, a great film in which he was equally impressive.
Still quite young but he has that look which makes me believe he'll be a good fit.
