Other Manga/Anime News #16 (2012)

A few news bits followed by a trailer for the new Naruto movie, the usual Oricon sales and since the Summer season is going to suck I'm including a preliminary list of Fall 2012 anime. The bits:

  • Magico ends its run in Weekly Shonen Jump issue #31, giving it a total of 65 chapters.
  • The Aru Zombie Shojo no Sainan light novel series will be getting an anime.
  • Kyo no Asuka Show, the manga running in Big comic spirit will be getting an anime.
  • Nurarihyon no Mago and Magico will have 3 chapters running in Jump NEXT.
  • Maoyuu Maou Yuusha, a light novel, is getting an anime.
  • The mangaka duo Peach-Pit (Rozen Maiden), will be bringing out a new manga in October that will run in Kodanha's shoujo publication Dessert.

A few things to note:

-Detective Conan was in 11th place last week before jumping to 1st.

-Shonen Magazine manga (Area no Kishi, Air Gear, Fairy Tail etc.) all experienced good 2nd week sales after being released towards the end of the week last time.

-Uchuu Kyoudai and Ookiku Furikabutte started off strong as representatives of Kodanhsa's seinen manga.
