The usual news bits and Oricon best seller lists. First with the bits:

George Morikawa, author of Hajime no Ippo, will bring out a 5 chapter mini-series running in Weekly Shonen Magazine. The manga is based on a picture book by Nobumi picture book about the 2011 earthquake and will be the first new series for Morikawa-sensei since Ippo.
Chihayafuru has been picked up for a second anime season. The information was wrapped around the most recent volume of the manga.
According to the editor of Oi!! Oba-san, a manga running Shonen Champion, there has been interest for possible anime and live-action adaptations.
Minami-ke has been picked up for a fourth season of the anime set to air in the Winter 2013 season.
Hanma Baki is to end soon.
Gamaran, the manga running in Weekly Shonen Magazine, is announcing a project in the next issue of Magazine (#30). Possibly an anime adaptation....
Magi, the manga running in Weekly Shonen Sunday, will finally be announcing details of a project (speculated to be an anime) in the next issue of Sunday (#30).

A few things to note:

-Kimi ni Todoke #16 has finally passed the 1 million sales mark.

-Haikyuu!!'s first volume sales were very impressive for a new sports manga.

-Bleach started off strong with over 500,000 in it's first week.

-One Piece #66 has been in the top 30 since May 2nd.
