Cute as always, Kamisama Hajimemashita continues towards its finale effortlessly. Not exactly the best thing.

I really enjoyed this episode. It encapsulated everything I love about the series and threw in some enjoyable romantic comedy moments.

Mizuki's half of the episode was just as good as the Nanami x Tomoe date half, if not a little better. That's my personal love of Mizuki kicking in - that smiley evil face - which made the first half of the episode so much fun to watch. When you bring in Kurama, then you know you're in for a treat!

Nanami and Tomoe's day out was also very pleasant. It was more comedy than romance, so I automatically preferred it to any moment when the romance is more serious. And if you did need your dose of romance, the second half did build up to a sweet moment at the end.

There is a lot of repetition at this point with the comedic moments of Tomoe's excessive female attention, and even during serious moments. On that front, I think there could have been more variety to give this series something more memorable towards the end.

Setting up the end of any series with 13 episodes is rarely easy.

In this case, the penultimate episode was a good shot. In terms of enjoyment, I wasn't sold on the episode but I appreciate the straightforward groundwork for the final episode. Unlike say, Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun, you can actually predict this series' end.

If that's good or bad I'll decide after the final episode but at this point it's fine. Predictability is sometimes better because it makes for a conclusive finale as opposed to an out-of-the-blue episode that does nothing for the series.

My biggest problem with the episode was one character: Otohiko. If you don't recognise that name, it's even more of a reason why this character is a problem. Not that his presence is, just that we haven't been told enough about him to remember his name. If you haven't figured it out, he's the transvestite that has been testing Nanami.

With only that as the flaw of the episode, there's not much else to say. The episode was fine. Not memorable, exciting or good, just fine.
