Other Manga/Anime News #27 (2012)

Sorry that the manga/anime news post was delayed this week but I just got back home yesterday night. Anyway, these post will no longer include Oricon Best Seller figures (they're too much hassle to compile) but all the usual news will remain. Here's all the news:

• High School DxD will be getting a second season (the first aired in this Winter season). [Source]
• Maken-ki! will be getting another anime. Whether it's a sequel to the one which aired in the Fall 2011 season is unknown but it looks like the manga artist of the series is involved. [Source]
• Star Driver's movie is set to air on February 9th 2013. [Source]
• Gakuen Alice's last manga chapter is being prepared. [Source]
• There is some hinting from a staff member regarding more Senki Zesshou Symphogear. [Source]
• xxxHolic is getting a live-action adaptation. [Source]
• On another note, CLAMP are taking a 2-month hiatus because a member has fallen ill. This is means Gate 7 is on hiatus from Jump SQ until the December issue (released in November). [Source]
• Yen Press have licensed Doubt for an omnibus release. [Source]
• JManga have announced they are adding at least the first 3 volumes of Yama no Susume. This series also had it's anime adaptation announced not too long ago. [Source]
• The Oreimo light novels will end at 12 volumes. [Source]
