You know the drill, Oricon has posted it's weekly sales figures and I've also add more of their "Best Sellers of 2012" 11-30 (1-10 were posted in the previous news post) and I'm also adding the Biglobe most anticipated anime of Summer 2012.

But first, as always, the news bits:

  • Kure-nai's manga adaptation has ended and now the artist is teaming up with the author of The Legend of Legendary Heroes on a new manga that will run in Jump SQ.
  • Btooom! the seinen manga running in Comic Bunch has announced an anime adaptation which will be produced by Madhouse.
  • Kindaichi Case Files, the manga running in Weekly Shonen Magazine, is getting 2 OAD's bundled with limited edition volumes of the manga.
  • Yama no Susume will be adapted into an anime which will air in 2013. 8-Bit will handle production.

Thoughts:

Not particularly surprising seeing as Yuruyuri's and Horizon's first seasons were popular and with Accel World re-starting the anime based in virtual world craze for this year which I thought died with the .hack franchise, Sword Art Online and Estetica are being anticipated. The noitamina slots aren't faring well this time, but considering that the 2 series running this summer are completely un-shonen it only makes sense. I'm a little bit surprised to see Kokoro Connect at the top of the list but then again I have no knowledge as to how popular the light novels are.
